Building trust and respect is required for successful evaluation
Staff that trust their managers and who are trusted and respected in turn can provide the edge that organizations need to provide superior vocational education and training.
Teachers and administrators of VET have the best, most up-to-date knowledge about how well processes are working, what problems have arisen, and how things could be better to improve education and customer satisfaction. If their opinions are respected, they will share their knowledge and creativity with management - the only way to ensure continuous improvement. Trust and respect are essential for individual participation. Without such an atmosphere, people will not take actions or make recommendations they perceive to be risky to themselves. If people broach ideas, they should be praised; if they identify problems in the process or system, they should be thanked; when they contribute, they should be recognized; when they fail, they should be supported; and when they succeed, they should be rewarded.
